I watched the Common Craft video, checked out the different library wikis and created a wiki account. The book lovers wiki was cool. I liked the featured book review on " Flushed: How the Plumber saved Civilization". I also added my first comment to Neflin's 23 Things Wiki. It was fun and easy! Yeah! I also learned that wiki means "quick" in Hawaiian. After that I was curious what my name means in Hawaiian. "Palapala" is my Hawaiian name for Barbara. And after that I got even more addicted and typed in all my children's names, let me tell you that was really fun! I watched the video, read several news stories on all four social media sites mentioned (Digg, Reddit, Newsvine & Mixx). I really don't think I will be using them much. I don't think I have the time to check out all these different sites when I can just go to CNN as my news source. I also e-mailed a BBC news report to one of my Email accounts. Delicious! I liked this site very much. It was easy. I like the idea of creating bookmarks and especially to be able to access it from anywhere. It will help me to get and stay organized with my web sites that are useful to me and our patrons.

I really fell in love with PictureTrail. The possibilities are endless! It's awesome! Just wanted to share some pictures of our trip to Lackland AFB, TX. My son's graduation was last month. I think of him all the time and miss him sooo much...

In the past I used Instant Messaging in MySpace(to keep in touch with my older kids) and Yahoo! Messenger. Today I tried "Chat with Neflin". So far no answer... I use Email to communicate with family, friends and colleagues. I also use text messaging for the same reasons. Web conferencing has a lot of advantages. You don't have to leave your work place in order to attend work shops. You don't have to worry about transportation especially when you have an old car like me (1990)!!
